Photo on Left: CUR offered its first workshop for community college faculty on implementing undergraduate research. Funded by the Advanced Technological Education program at NSF, the workshop was held at North Seattle Community College, October 17-18. Thirty-seven faculty and administrators attended the workshop. Celeste Carter and Jim Hewlett were presenters.

Regional Workshop Program on Institutionalizing Undergraduate Research:

CUR has been awarded a Course, Curriculum, Laboratory Improvement grant in the amount $499,066 from the National Science Foundation. All workshops have been completed, and follow-up activities are underway.  The purpose of the program is to assist campuses in making institution-level changes to establish, formalize and expand undergraduate research opportunities.  For more information, please visit the Regional Workshop Homepage.
